Inside the Toy Box: Issue Thirteen

Inside the Toy Box sums up the past week’s toy news, top sellers, trends, pre-orders and any other great happenings in the world of toys and pop culture.  Be sure to scroll down and check out the sales at the bottom.

People are already buying for Christmas an toy manufacturers are already warning of short supply.  The obvious is Star Wars but others include Lego and Paw Patrol.  Toy companies are saying, “If you see it, buy it.”  I mentioned the Lego short supply earlier, and I am already stocking up for my four kiddos.

There are a lot of new POPS! out there hitting the shelves.  Hot Topic has some Carnage and Anti-Venom POPS! hot the shelves as well as come Comicaze and NYCC Exclusives.  Of course I picked up Carnage and Anti-Venom to go with Venom I already snagged from Walgreens.  The First Order Stormtrooper is also a Walgreens exclusive to be on the look out for.  We will be giving one away soon so stay tuned.

Fallout 4 came out this past week and of course there are POPS! for that too.  Quentin Tarantino’s Hateful Eight has a few POPS! that went up as well.  Some Star Wars: The Force Awakens POPS! also came in stock, so act quick if you are missing any for your collection.  If you are looking for a place to keep all your POPS! you can now grab a couple of these nifty display pieces like the stores have.

Speaking of Star Wars, I was at Target and noticed a few new items on the shelves.  The Black Series Deluxe TIE Fighter and the Millennium Falcon for the 3 3/4-inch figures were the ones that grabbed my attention.  Unfortunately, I didn’t see their exclusive Black Series 2-pack yet.

We all know by now that Disney is discontinuing the Slave Leia costume and merchandise.  Keep an eye out for anything Slave Leia as this could cause an increase in demand.  Another rumor from the latest TV Spot is Rey is the love child of Han and Leia.

NECA has some pretty cool stuff up for pre-order as well.  I am a huge fan of theirs, maybe it’s because they do such awesome work with the licenses they hold, including all the horror movies.  They are smart and know what people want.  They also teased this Predator pic for their up coming series 15.  Follow them on twitter (@NECA_TOYS) as they are promising Alien news on “Facehugger Friday”

Mikey (my personal favorite of all the turtle) joins Donnie and Leo in Mondo’s 1:6 scale collection.

Check out the trailer for World of Warcraft.

The HIGHLY anticipated movie is set for release in June of next year and Gentle Giant actually used the digital files from Legendary Pictures to make these gorgeous statues. We do know they are a limited one run and done series but I don’t have a run count yet.
