Entertainment Weekly Reveals NECA’s Awesome James Cameron Aliens Action Figure

Entertainment Weekly revealed NECA’s latest Aliens inspired figure and its awesome.  Thinking outside the box like usual they gave director James Cameron his own Colonial Marines figure. I also believe this is the first James Cameron figure ever.  The figure will be available via TheNecaStore.com and at Toys “R” Us stores.  The full figure will be on display at SDCC later this week.  It is expected to be available November.

The figure is 7 inches tall, has more than 25 points of articulation, features Cameron as he appeared during the filming of the 1986 science fiction sequel, and comes with a pistol, pulse rifle, tracking device, and viewfinder. The figure’s clothing is decorated with a Canadian flag shoulder patch and a Pandora planet patch as well as the logo of the “real” Cameron’s company, Lightstorm. This is the first time Cameron has allowed his likeness to be used for an action figure.

You can exclusively see images of the Cameron action figure from Entertainment Weekly below. (more…)

Japanese retailer Mamegyorai has posted up pre-orders for the first two Blade Runner 2049 action figures by NECA. The figures include stellar versions of Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard and Ryan Gosling as Officer K. The 7″ scale figures are based on the sequel to the classic Blade Runner, a Ridley Scott film that changed the face of science fiction themed action films. In the new movie Officer K is on a mission to find former Blade Runner Deckard, who has been missing for 30 years. Together, they look to thwart a plot that could plunge what’s left of a fragile society into utter chaos.
