Nerdist Gives Us an Exclusive Look at STAR WARS Elite Series Figures for D23

Nerdist revealed some nice looking figures that are going to available at the D23 Expo this weekend.  So if you plan on going, be on the look out.  For those not attending, I am sure some will pop up on eBay and other secondary sales sites.  But with a run limited to 1000 and considering they will retail for around $80, the price might not be what you are willing to pay.  Call me old school but I also like that more and more figures are getting the retro real clothes treatment.  You can check out all the details from the Nerdist below.

From Nerdist:

Good versus evil: the eternal fight is lore ingrained in Star Wars storytelling. If you can’t decide whether or not to join the dark side, it’s best to have your action figures battle it out. To help you recreate iconic dark versus light showdowns for yourself, Disney Store is releasing packaged heroes and villains together in one perfect set.

Nerdist has an exclusive look at the three Limited Edition Star Wars Elite Series Premium Action Figures, packages that will be released this weekend at D23 Expo. The limited edition figures feature the light and the dark side: Hoth-coutured Princess Leia and Darth Vader; Rey and an unmasked Kylo Ren; and Jyn Erso and a well-caped Director Orson Krennic.

The figures stand tall at 10.25 to 11.50-inches and are extremely flexible with over 30 points of articulation. The female characters feature rooted hair—the same can’t be said about the Kylo Ren figure but he’ll get over it–I hear he’s good at dealing with disappointment.

The duos retail for $79.95 and are limited to just 1,000, with each set accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity. But the certificate is secondary when you see that the figures also come with fabric outfits and an assortment of removable accessories including extra hands! In the Star Wars universe you can always use an extra extremity, you never know when a wampa or your own dad might just totally lose it.
