I am not a fan of the retro figures with cloth outfits that many toy makers seem to be doing. What I am a fan of is the retro 3 3/4-inch figures with limited articulation, like ReAction for instance. “Whats old is new”, is the old saying. Heck, Hasbro has even gone simpler with the 3 3/4-inch EVPII figures. They are selling well so I think they might be on to something. I am not just talking Star Wars. Reaction has plenty of licenses that continually do well and sell out. Back to the Future, Goonies, and Terminator just to name a few.
Bif Bang Pow! is getting in on the action with not just SNL but The Big Bang Theory and KISS as well. The first series of The Big Bang Theory just fell of the truck and I must say they are better than ReAction. They have the same attention to detail on the figures but what sets them apart is packaging. Each package folds out into its own diorama making these figures not only great to play with, but display as well.
Series 1 consists of:
The Big Bang Theory has a good following and these are not going to last long. Rumor has it that Bif Bang Pow! is limiting this run to 2000 figures each. Their Con Exclusive is still in stock and there are also a few different variations of Sheldon out there. You can grab him sporting Superman, Batman, and Flash Tees.
