It is hard to argue that Bob Ross is a pop culture icon. In a perfect example of “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone”, Bob Ross has become more of a celebrity after his death then when he was alive. As a younger kid, I was introduced to The Joy of Painting on PBS at my grandparent’s house. It was him and Mark Kistler’s Secret City that helped me realize my love for art and drawing. His calm kind demeanor was like watching Mr. Rogers with a paint brush. Unfortunately, after battling Lymphoma Bob Ross passed away in 1995. However, in recent years, there as seemed to be a Bob Ross renaissance. His likeness has been popping up on everything from the obvious paint sets to the odd, but cool, Bob Ross Chia Pet. Even the ever popular Deadpool sometimes cosplays as him. NECA, as always, seemed to read fan’s minds and decided to add a Bob Ross figure to their 8-inch clothed line.
