SYFY Wire revealed LEGO’s exclusive for this year’s SDCC. Fans and collectors know that LEGO’s convention exclusives are the most sought after and hardest to get. Just look at this past year’s NYCC Brickheadz. Check out it all out from SYFY Wire:
We’re excited to announce that one of LEGO’s special, limited edition 2018 exclusives available to purchase only at SDCC is the Millennium Falcon cockpit from Solo: A Star Wars Story.
The 203-piece brick set reproduces the still pristine cockpit of the Falcon featured in the film, along with the iconic duo of Chewbacca and Han Solo co-piloting side-by-side. It comes in retro, limited edition packaging. And yes, minifigures of young Han Solo and Chewbacca are included in the mini-set, which will retail for $40.
So now that everyone has the NYCC Boba Fett/Han Solo BrickHeadz 2-pack, LEGO is releasing a wide release, stand alone, Boba Fett BrickHeadz figure. Other new Star Wars BrickHeadz coming soon are a Luke Skywalker and Yoda 2-pack along with “A New Hope” Princess Leia. No word on when they are scheduled to be released. (more…)
When LEGO makes an exclusive for an event, it’s kind of a big deal. Most of their SDCC and other exclusives fetch multiple times their purchase price on the secondary market. This set looks to be no exception. Based on the classic scene in A New Hope, Detention Block Rescue features Han Solo and Luke Skywalker disguised as Stormtroopers, attempting the daring rescue in the prison ward of the Death Star.
The set contains 220 pieces and will retail for $40, however it can only be obtained if you’re attending Star Wars Celebration and are selected to purchase via lottery.
There are limited quantities available, so LEGO will be highly selective with the lottery. (more…)
