Inside the Toy Box sums up the past week’s toy news, top sellers, trends, pre-orders and any other great happenings in the world of toys and pop culture.
Another busy week in the world of toy news and also the first week back to school so I am behind. Lets just get to it then. We all know Force Friday is this Friday. Disney Store and Hot Topic are joining the big boxes for midnight opening. The first 100 people who make a purchase at Disney Store get an exclusive pin. If you choose Toys R Us you get a Star Wars poster. As far as what to grab, thats up to you. I have my order in place so I will just be there to watch.
Walmart looks to be adding another exclusive with the Jabba the Hutt and Slave Leia POP! 3-pack. The Sandtrooper and Dewback 2-pack was their other exclusive.
Gamestop got another Arkham Knight exclusive action figure with a sweet looking “Battle-damaged” Batman figure.
The Red Hood Arkham Knight went up for pre-order last week as well and looks pretty nice.
One of Greg Capullo’s Zero Year Batman figures was floating around Twitter (one on left) and I must say, it is bad to the bone. This will be the second Zero Year Batman figure in the Capullo collection.
It looks like we will finally get a Joker in the series if this photo is acurate.
The Terminator T-800 Endoskeleton 7-Inch Scale Action Figure from NECA is hot off the truck as well as this sweet Leatherface figure. There is also a Leatherface Reaction figure out there now too! NECA’s Alien vs. Predator series 14 is also up for pre-order.
Lego’s Monster mini figures were spotted in the wild this week. This is the 14th in Lego’s popular blind bag mini figure series. For you Star Wars fans with big wallets, Boba Fett’s Slave 1 and the TIE Fighter are both in stock. Chima fans might want to get the Mammoth as it will be extinct, i mean retired soon.
Mighty Morphine Power Rangers Legacy Wave 1 action figures from Bandai went up for pre-order.
Mattel has some of their Star Wars Hot-wheels star ships up. Grab them while you can.
Funko Tees went on sale exclusively at Hot Topic. I went this past weekend and they had a BOGO 1/2 off so I snagged two for $36. Use promo code SCHOOL at checkout online for 20% off. Be careful when selecting your favorites as some are only for guys and some only for girls. The Mad Hatter, for example is girls only.
A random quick flip idea might be the Barbie Tokidoki 10th Anniversary Doll. She is going for around $134 on Amazon. People are paying that price pre-ordering on eBay too. There might be something there, be on the look out.
