A new Netflix mini-series dedicated to the toys of our childhood is set to start filming this March.  The 8 part mini-series is called “The Toys That Made Us”, and hopes to debut December 2017/January 2018.   Although, they won’t officially start filming until March, they will be sneaking in a few shots from the Toy Fair this month in New York.  And if you think they are staying local, you’re wrong.  They mentioned in a short exchange that they will be traveling all over the world to capture toy lines from Japan, Denmark, China, and Canada.  They also said they will be making plenty of stops around the states as well.

We pulled this image off of their Facebook page and it shows some of the goodness they have in store for us.  Looking at their work in progress, we can see they will be showcasing Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Barbie, He-Man, Star Trek, Hello Kitty, and LEGO (probably why they’re going to Denmark).

This looks like a snapshot of our toy box growing up so I am really looking forward to this mini-series.  I also hope it does well so they will bring us more.  We will try and keep up with updates as we get them, but like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter to make sure you don’t miss anything.

I also want to thank the good guys over at cobrashadowjoes.com for letting us in on this great series in the first place.
