Carnage & Anti-Venom POPS! & Other Hot Topic Exclusives

Hot Topic got another wave of exclusive POPS! on the shelves over the past weekend.  I was at my local mall (with what seemed like everyone else on the planet) when I noticed the new additions.  Two of my favorites are Carnage and Anti-Venom.  These are already becoming hot commodities fetching around $20 ea and $40 for the pair.  Hot Topic also had some Comickaze and NYCC Exclusives as well. The latest TV Spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has fans buzzing that Rey is Han and Leia’s daughter.   The part where she says “I’ve seen those eyes before and I see them in you” or something like that. Not sure if there is much than that to back this rumor but it is creating quite the buzz.   (more…)

So Long “Slave” Leia

It is a sad day for Star Wars fans every where.  It sounds like Lucasfilm and Disney may no longer (from the sound of it) be licensing any “Slave” Leia items.  According to artist J. Scott Campbell, they aren’t even letting him draw the image for future comics.  The official statement reads, “Princess Leia’s Slave Leia costume is being retired from the Star Wars IP for merchandise and marketing.” (more…)
