When I saw this figure in New York a couple of years ago, I knew I wanted it in my collection once it was finally released.
Plus, now that he is finally here, he can play the perfect advisory to my Onyx Sovereign Knight Batman. I like how Mezco takes the risk and comes up with versions of their comic book characters that are uniquely their own. I think this was one of the reasons I liked the look of this figure so much. If you weren’t at Yestercades this past weekend for NECA’s fan event, you missed a good time. The event was well done in a nostalgic environment that would make any toy nerd happy. NECA had a few recent and upcoming releases on display, as well as a few new reveals. I was able to take a few photos but not as many as I would have liked. I was more focused on talking to the NECA gang and meeting some of the other NECA enthusiasts. Being that I’m socially awkward, I don’t think I did a good job in that department. It was nice to finally put a few faces with the names though. (more…)
So the new LEGO sets that came out for Spider-man: Far From Home are adding fuel to the fire. Is spider-man fighting the Elementals? Well, the latest wave of LEGO sets seems to answer that question. This could also be one of those cases of toy misdirection that marvel head Kevin Feige always brings up. But more then likely, it’s not. (more…)
After Avengers: Endgame we all now know that time travel is possible. So now it seems like the summer of 2019 is going to be traveling back to the summer of ’85, all thanks to Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 3. (more…)
NECA makes a lot of awesome figures that cross quite a few different genres. This can be problematic when faced with two figures you want and only one in the budget. After what seemed like a dry spell, NECA’s shipping calendar is all of a sudden full. It also doesn’t help that summer is here, and with the kids out, my Target runs have become less frequent.
