It is a sad day for Star Wars fans every where. It sounds like Lucasfilm and Disney may no longer (from the sound of it) be licensing any “Slave” Leia items. According to artist J. Scott Campbell, they aren’t even letting him draw the image for future comics. The official statement reads, “Princess Leia’s Slave Leia costume is being retired from the Star Wars IP for merchandise and marketing.” (more…)

Sorry I have been MIA, I spent the Halloween weekend in LA trick or treating with some friends and family. I am a horrible Dad and didn’t take any decent photos but my kids were Poison Ivy, Shark Boy (from Sharkboy and Lavagirl), the Rainbow Fairy (from some Tinkerbell movie), and Tinkerbell. Their little friend Brooklyn also decided to jump in the photo as Minnie Mouse. Kudos to my wife and mother-in-law for making the costumes. (more…)

Hot Off the Truck: The Big Bang Theory 3 3/4-Inch Action Figures Series 1
I am not a fan of the retro figures with cloth outfits that many toy makers seem to be doing. What I am a fan of is the retro 3 3/4-inch figures with limited articulation, like ReAction for instance. “Whats old is new”, is the old saying. Heck, Hasbro has even gone simpler with the 3 3/4-inch EVPII figures. They are selling well so I think they might be on to something. I am not just talking Star Wars. Reaction has plenty of licenses that continually do well and sell out. Back to the Future, Goonies, and Terminator just to name a few. (more…)
