Lego Blasts Off Honoring the Women of NASA

Lego revealed their latest building set and it honors the women of NASA.  The set honors five women of NASA in particular.   The women are computer scientist Margaret Hamilton, mathematician Katherine Johnson, astronaut Sally Ride, astronomer and executive Nancy Grace Roman and astronaut Mae Jemison.

The set was part of the LEGO Ideas competition and was revealed as the winner this week.  The idea was proposed last year by Maia Weinstock, deputy editor of MIT News.  (more…)

LEGO reveals The LEGO Batman Movie Construction Sets

Lego 2016 SDCC Exclusive BickHeadz

USA Today revealed some more information on LEGO’s upcoming BrickHeadz line.  The company’s brand new LEGO BrickHeadz collectible line won’t hit retail until next year, but fans at the pop-culture event can get their hands on limited-edition preview two-packs ($40 each) featuring blocky, buildable versions of the biggest superhero characters in movies and comics. Lego Officially Unveils Massive Disney Cinderella Castle Set

There were some leaks over the weekend, so Lego decided to go ahead and make it official today.  There revealed their Disney Cinderella Castle set, and it is huge.  With 4080 pieces, this will keep you and your kids busy for hours, if not days.  There are few details out there but it will come with a few minifigures, Donald, Daisy, Mickey, Minnie, and Tinkerbell.  They will differ from the Series 1 set of minifigures currently on shelves.   (more…)
